Mixchat is built around a core principle: your data stays with you.

No Server-Side Storage

Mixchat has no database. All settings, followed channels, watchlists, and preferences are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to or stored on any server.

Access Requests

When you submit a request for access, your email address and Twitch channel name are collected solely for the purpose of granting you access to the application. This information is:

• Used only to verify your request and provide access
• Not shared with third parties
• Not used for marketing or tracking
• Deleted once access is no longer required or upon your request

Third-Party Services

Mixchat connects to Twitch and YouTube APIs to provide chat functionality. These connections are made directly from your browser. No intermediary server processes or stores your chat data.

Open Source

Mixchat is fully open source. You can audit the codebase to verify these privacy claims at any time.
